Select profiles from the Not a match list

Learn how to select profiles that were earlier marked as not a match.

The Not a Match tab displays a list of profiles that were previously marked as not a match for the main entity. Look at these profiles. If you feel now that it’s a good match for your entity, then you can either merge it with your entity or mark it as a potential match.

To view the profiles marked as not a match:

  1. Open the Potential Matches perspective. For more information, see topic Get started with the Potential Matches perspective.
  2. In the right navigation pane, select the Not a Match tab.
  3. Select the Filter button.
  4. In the Filter dialog box, select the Attribute.
  5. Specify the operator and enter or select the attribute value.
Note: The dropdown list displays a limited set of values for certain attributes. You can select the LOAD MORE button to view more values.
    1. Select + to add a new filter. A new row is added, where you can specify more filter conditions.
    2. Select Copy to copy the same filter as a separate row.
    3. Select X to delete the filter.
    4. Select Apply. Based on the filter, you can see a list of profiles in the Not a Match tab.
  6. From the list, select the profile that you think matches your main entity. You can select a maximum of four profiles only. If you want to view more than four profiles at a time, switch to the table view.
  7. Select Merge if you’re sure that this is a match for your main entity.
  8. Select Save as Potential Match. This indicates that it’s a good match that needs further scrutiny before merging.
Note: The profile is added alongside the main entity in the screen. You’ll see that the Not a match label is displayed in the Match method field for the profile added now. This indicates that the profile was earlier marked as not a match.
  9. Close the tab. The selected profiles are displayed as separate columns, alongside the main entity details.

The profiles are displayed as columns side by side so that it’s easier for you to compare the records. The attributes that are similar to both the profiles are highlighted. You can now merge these profiles or mark them as not a match. For more details, see topic Merge potential matches.
