Crafting a match strategy is part art and part science, but there is definitely a best practice sequence and set of best practice work streams toward an effective and successful match configuration. The following steps in sequence should be studied and followed. The development of match rules for your data falls into two key exercises in a very sequential order. In the first phase, you should design a set of comparison formulas (one for each rule) based entirely on how you intend to compare profiles to one another. In the second phase, you will design a tokenization strategy for your rules that dictates how the match engine will identify candidate match pairs out of the millions of profiles in your tenant, to present to your rules for evaluation. These two procedures are described below.
