Reltio Metadata Configuration Validation

Update: Based on customer feedback, Reltio has made some changes to the planned enforcement of metadata configuration validation. We will not enforce configuration validation on Development and Test tenants prior to your Production tenants. When errors are resolved in Production tenants, we will enforce configuration validation on all your error free Development and Test tenants as well. If configuration validation is not enforced on your tenants already (this is done on tenants without any errors), you will receive an email communication with specific dates and planned enforcement dates. The dates mentioned in the announcement below indicate the planned start date of the roll-out, not when your specific tenants will be updated to enforce metadata configuration validation.
Date: 02-July-2020

Reltio is continually investing in capabilities to improve the stability and performance of Reltio Connected Cloud. An important step in this direction is Metadata Configuration Validation. Reltio Console has been showing the errors and warnings related to your metadata configuration in your tenants. We have provided information that will help you resolve them.

Reltio will now start enforcing these metadata configuration validation in all customer tenants in a phased approach. It will be enforced first in your development and test tenants starting August 5th, 2020 followed by production tenants starting September 2nd, 2020. You will receive another communication from Reltio a week before we enforce it on your tenants. Once the validation check is enforced, there will be no impact on the existing tenant operations. However, any new changes to the configuration will not be saved unless all the errors on the tenant are resolved and the metadata configuration is error free.

Configuration Validation will improve stability and performance of your Reltio solution and will provide customers immediate feedback about potential issues in the data model. For more information, please see the following documentation links:

Please review and resolve the configuration validation errors using these resources and prepare your tenants so that we can seamlessly enforce the validation rules. If you have questions or face issues while resolving the errors, please contact Reltio Customer Support.

General Announcement - Reltio Cloud 2019.2 Release Date is now June 23rd

Date: 15-Jun-2019
Why is Reltio Cloud 2019.2 GA being delayed? During our late stage testing, we discovered a 66% performance degradation with Export functionality. We were able to correct the issue late Friday but to be safe we will be running additional tests and scenarios over the weekend and coming week to ensure that it is corrected.
How long is the delay? 2019.2 GA is delayed 1 week from the original June 16th date, and will now be released on Sunday June 23rd, 2019.
Why wasn’t this problem discovered sooner? Our normal development process makes fixes, and retests for functionality and performance in a continuous cycle, on the run up to and during the preview phase of the release. On the evening of Thursday, June 14th, the final cycle of combined fixes led to us uncovering a performance degradation which would not be acceptable for this release. While we were able to correct the issues and restore Export performance back to expected levels on Friday evening, we feel that additional testing is warranted in order to ensure a high quality release.
What does this mean for Preview? The latest version of the 2019.2 release, which includes the Export fix, will be applied to preview on Saturday, June 15th, and Preview will continue to be available for participating customers beyond June 16th, the prior GA date. This will allow you to test out the new functionality for an extended period of time.

General Announcement - Reltio Cloud 2019.2 Release Date is June 16th

Date: 28-Mar-2019
Product: Cloud Master Data Management Platform
Overview: Reltio Cloud’s multi-tenant platform is designed to deliver continuous innovation and improvements in a rapid and seamless manner. Accordingly we publish our maintenance and release calendar to provide transparent visibility for your planning purposes. We have moved the date for the upcoming 2019.2 release from Sunday June 9th to June 16th. This means that the availability of preview (3 weeks prior) will also shift to May 26th. The calendar has been updated to reflect the new dates.

Product Feature Update

Date: 15-Mar-2019
Product: Data Tenant as a Service
Product Feature: NPI Data Tenant
Overview: NPI provides addresses as different types, business mailing, business practice etc. Each of these address sections contain address and the contact phone number. In Reltio, the addresses are differentiated similar to NPI, but the phone numbers are classified as Business for both. In some cases, Business Mailing address and phone number are physicians personal address and cell phone number.
What is Changing: To help in differentiating the information and to be aligned with the source (NPI), we will make the changes to the phone type look up to reflect NPI source, which is - Business Practice and Business Mailing.
Immediate Impact: The DTSS subscription will be updated to transform the Business Practice and Business Mailing to Business which is how our customers currently receive the data today. This will ensure there is no impact to our customers until they are ready to receive the new mapping.
Future Action Required: When you are ready to implement the changes, then the DTSS subscription mappings should be updated. The lookups/RDM should be updated with the new phone types, and the match rules or any other component using the phone type should be re-evaluated and updated as needed.
Planned Date of Change: The production environment will be updated by April 30, 2019.
