Whether you’re a customer, a partner, or a Reltio employee, you play an important role in implementing a Reltio product and managing master data in it. We’ve grouped Reltio roles by function - your job title may fit neatly into one Reltio role, or you may wear multiple Reltio hats throughout your Reltio journey.

And because we ride along with you, we aso include roles filled by Reltio employees and Partners who guide your solution selection and implementation.

Reltio role descriptions

Here are descriptions of the responsibilities for the different roles involved in your Reltio journey:
Solution design and implementation roles
These roles get you going on your Reltio journey:
  • Account Executive (Sales):

    Communicates the Reltio platform benefits and value to potential customers and guides them through the sales process. Transfers knowledge of these customer business needs to the Solution Consultant and other Reltio colleagues when a customer moves from the Sales to the Design phase.

  • Executive Sponsor:

    Champions the Reltio solution and communicates the overall Reltio platform value proposition and specific use cases for their company. Assists with issue resolution and resource allocation during the Implementation phase.

  • Project Manager:

    Leads, coordinates, and manages teams of both customer and Reltio architects, consultants, and developers through the successful design, implementation, testing, and delivery of the Reltio platform. Manages day-to-day execution and serves as the single point of contact for platform and infrastructure issues and their resolution. Also referred to as Technical Delivery Manager (TDM).

  • Solution Consultant (Sales):

    Identifies how the Reltio platform can best meet a potential customer’s business needs as defined by the Account Executive. Is able to explain all Reltio platform elements and to demonstrate those relevant to defined customer needs during the Sales process.

  • System Engineer:

    Configures the Reltio platform and individual components to implement the enterprise architecture,including integration with external data systems, using APIs or UIs as appropriate. Provides information for defining and executing test cases to confirm the implemented Reltio solution meets defined customer business requirements during the Implementation phase. Also referred to as a Technical Consultant or Integration Consultant.

  • Test Lead:

    Ensures Reltio application Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is executed successfully and accurately.

Data governance roles
These roles look after your data in Reltio:
  • Business Data Analyst:

    Defines, in non-technical terms, Reltio platform requirements based on customer business needs and provides expertise around customer business processes. Conducts business-focused testing, including UAT during the Implementation phase. After implementation, they are the primary consumer of data in the Reltio platform, searching and analyzing customer data.

  • Data Steward:

    Defines business requirements and provides expertise around customer business processes. Performs day-to-day business activities in the Reltio platform, such as managing data quality activities, merging profiles, reviewing/revising hierarchies, and managing source and downstream systems. Supports the customer's consumption and analysis of data in the Reltio platform.

  • Solution Architect:

    Designs the overall Reltio solution architecture, focusing on the data model, data integration, security model, match rules, survivorship and custom workflows, and data profiling results to address defined customer business requirements. May also design the architecture for connecting the Reltio platform with other data systems. May also be referred to as Enterprise Architect, Lead Architect, or System Architect.

System administration role
This role keeps your Reltio solution running smoothly.
  • System Administrator:

    Performs day-to-day operational tasks not directly related to data management in the Reltio platform, such as designing and managing user and group configuration, SSO configuration, and security compliance.
