The Organization entity type contains data about the organization that has multiple roles and references within a domain. The Organization entity type can contain data about the sponsors of the clinical trials or studies. In the conduct of a clinical trial, a sponsor is an institution, company or organization that takes the responsibility to initiate, manage or finance the clinical trial but does not actually conduct the investigation.
