Relationship types contain metadata properties and attributes that define the connection between two specific entities. Like entity types, relationship types contain attributes. Relationship types have a start object and an end object, and a defined direction in which the relationship works: directed, bidirectional, and unidirectional. Think of these relationship types as nodes in a web of interconnected data that enable you to make best use of the entities in your data model.
