Upload an agent from another tenant

Learn how to upload an agent blueprint file to create a new agent in your tenant from an existing agent in another tenant.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you meet the following requirements:
  • You must have an .agent blueprint file downloaded from another tenant. See Download an agent.

  • You must have permission to create agents in the target tenant.

You can upload an agent blueprint file to create a new agent in your tenant. The upload pre-populates the agent name, description, tags, system prompt, and tool selections from the blueprint. You then review the configuration and submit the agent for review.

  1. In Agent Builder, select the dropdown arrow on Build new agent.
  2. Select Upload from an existing tenant.
  3. In the file picker, select your .agent file and select Open.
  4. Wait for the system to finish parsing the file.
Note: Parsing may take some time. Do not close the browser tab while parsing is in progress.
  5. On the Agent & Prompt information step, review the pre-populated agent name, description, tags, and system prompt. Edit any fields as needed for the target tenant.
  6. Select Save & continue.
  7. On the Tools & capabilities step, review the pre-selected tools and MCP server connections. Add or remove tools as required for the target tenant.
  8. Select Save & continue.
  9. On the Test & publish step, test the agent and select Save & continue.
  10. In the Confirm submit for review dialog, select Submit for review.

Result

Validation

To confirm the agent was submitted successfully, select Your drafts & requests in Agent Builder. The agent appears in the list with a Pending approval status.
