Thankful thoughts
We're grateful to you--our customers, partners, and colleagues--for your patience during our brief period of upheaval as we finished unpacking our final content boxes and redirecting mail to our new Doc Portal location. With the heavy lifting done, we're firmly focused again on developing the the information you need to succeed.

Here are details of the fixes and features you'll find in this week's release. With no production release next Wednesday, 23-Nov-22, due to US Thanksgiving holiday, we'll be back on 30-Nov-22.

  • In the new Profile view Wokflow tab, you were not able to view Data Change Requests (DCRs) that you created while using the local host. We fixed this issue by referencing a custom workflow path, so now the Workflow tab displays the relevant DCR details even for local hosts. For more information, see topics The Workflow tab and Add a Workflow Task.

  • In the new Profile view, some details didn't appear in the Relationship facet. In the classic UI, the Profile view filtered out any entity types and relationships you did not have access to and displayed those you did have access to. This filter was not properly applied in the new UI, so if you did not have access to some entity types and relationships, the view didn't display any. We now apply this filter correctly in the new UI, so you can view details of entity types and relationships you have access to in the Relationship facet. For more information, see topic Relationships Perspective.

  • In the new Dashboard graphs, sometimes you could not view the correct values in the Y axis due to incorrect processing. We now allow larger values in the Y axis by using suffixes such as K for thousands and M for millions, so you can see the correct values in the graph. For more information, see topics Dashboard and UI Modeler.

Integrate - Connect your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you import, enrich, and export your data.

Reltio Salesforce Connector
We enhanced the Reltio Salesforce Connector to enable you to automatically return synchronized data to Salesforce after cleansing or matching and merging it with another record in Reltio. Set the new syncBackToSalesforce parameter in your tenant's entity configuration to true to automatically update Salesforce data with changes made in Reltio. For more information, see topic Synchronize data with Salesforce Connector.

Doc portal updates
Links, links, and more links! We redirected dozens of URLs this week to make sure you (and the search engines) have links that work. We gave our search client some love as we trained it to be better at fetch. And, of course, we updated content for the cool stuff listed in these release notes!

Model - Define your data model

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you define model, match, merge, and cleanse your data.

Reltio Platform
In the Profile view, we updated the singleAttributeUpdateDates values for all nested and sub-nested attributes in an entity when one or more of the attribute values changed. This resulted in duplicate attribute operational values. We fixed this functionality, so now we only update the singleAttributeUpdateDates values for those nested and sub-nested attributes that have changed. For more information, see topic Update Entity Attributes.

Integrate - Connect your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you import, enrich, and export your data.

Workflow
In the Reltio Inbox, when you clicked the profile name in the Potential Matches Review workflow task, Reltio was not able to open the correct profile page in the new UI. We corrected this to display the relevant Profile page in the new UI. Clicking the hyperlink in the notification email also displays the relevant profile page in new UI. For more information, see topics Get started with the Reltio Inbox and Working With Tasks.

  • In the new UI, the date format was displayed in US format (MM/DD/YYYY) rather than in the local format appropriate for your region. We fixed the logic for loading local region translations and the date format. The date format now displays in the correct format for your region.
  • In the new UI, the Activity Log sometimes displayed technical messages such as "Entities_merged not implemented" for a merged event. We changed the Activity Log to display messages that are easy to you to understand rather than technical information. For more information, see topic Activity Log Perspective (new view).
  • In the new Sources perspective, it was difficult to distinguish crosswalks that were deleted as the text was greyed out and outlined with a colored line. To make deleted crosswalks easier to identify, we changed the crosswalks in the new Sources perspective to use the same red icon as we use in the classic UI. For more information, see topic Sources Perspective (new view).

Engage - Interact with your data

Console

You configure the Profiles pages for both the classic and new UIs in the Console UI Modeler. However, the UI Modeler did not support the 4-column layout in the new Profile perspective. We added the Select the UI version you want to model toggle to the UI Modeler, so you can configure the new Profile perspective. For more information, see topics UI Modeler and Configure your profile perspective for the new UI.

  • When you tried to switch to a different tenant from the Profile settings in the new UI, you received a tenant does not exist message. We updated logic to ensure you are redirected to the correct environment. For more information, see topic Changes in the new navigation menu.
  • In the new Profile perspective, the Show Graph button in the Hierarchy facet did not display the graph. We fixed this functionality, so you will be redirected to the Graph view when you click the Show Graph button. For more information, see topic Exploring the Hierarchy Management Facet.

  • The new Profile perspective did not display boolean values (Yes, No) consistently in view and edit modes:
    • View mode: Displayed in lowercase (yes, no)

    • Edit mode: Displayed in title case (Yes, No)

We fixed the logic that renders these values to display in title case in both modes. For more information, see topic Overview of Attributes.

Reltio Platform
In the Profile view, the Activity Log for an active entity still contained the history of an entity you'd sent a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) delete task request for. We added a new purgeLinkedHistory parameter to this task request to remove the deleted entity's crosswalk data, so it is no longer displayed in the active entity's Activity Log. For more information, see topic Delete Entities by GDPR.

Engage - Interact with your data

Check out these new features and enhancements in this weekly release to help you configure your tenant and steward and govern your data.

Workflow
A Data Change Request (DCR) for a new entity and location that was created in the new UI, the DCR ID incorrectly referred to the location. We fixed the workflow to correctly refer to the location's entity ID. For more information, see topic About Data Change Request.

Console
Previously, you couldn't see a description for attributes in the Attributes tab of the Data Modeler Entity type or Relationship type pages. You had to open the Edit entityType attribute or Edit relationship type page to view the Description field. To make it easier for you to view this information, we added this description in light-gray text beneath the value in the Label column of each of these Attributes tabs. For more information, see topics Creating New Attributes and Creating New Relationship Types.
Entities API
We enhanced the surrogate crosswalks configuration with the generationLogic parameter. This parameter gives you the ability to control how surrogate crosswalks are generated when configured attributes do not have an OV. For more information, see topics Recalculate Surrogate Crosswalks and Configuring surrogate keys .
Event streaming
We added the crosswalk details in the delta streams of all messages transmitted through the event queue. This value allows you to identify the changed record in the source table in your database. For more information, see topic CRUD events.
Search
In the Advanced Search page, you could not save search criteria for attributes that did not contain any values. A save validation process removed these empty attributes, so when you loaded the saved search later, only attributes that contained specified values were displayed. We removed this validation, so now you can save searches with incomplete search criteria. For more information, see topics Exploring the Advanced Search and Working with Saved and Recent Searches.
Reltio Platform
When you sent a Get by Crosswalk Connection request for an entity and the entity didn't have any associated relationships, the API response was blank. We have modified the API response to include the entity even when the entity doesn't have an associated relationship. For more information, see topic .Get by crosswalk connection

Data Loader
When you uploaded source data to an Amazon S3 bucket in the Console Data Loader, some jobs returned a "Completed with errors" status but you could not download and view the corresponding error files. We changed our error-logging functionality, so you can now download and view such error messages. For more information, see topic Download error Files
