Use automated and ad-hoc monitoring registration

How to manage monitoring registration after setup, update delta files, and adjust registration limits.

Make sure that:

After monitoring registration is configured, you can update DUNS records using automatic filters or manual uploads. Both methods compare against the master file to avoid duplicates and control how many records are registered based on licensing limits.
To manage automated monitoring registration:
  1. Ensure the lookup property Automate Monitoring Registration is set to Yes.
  2. Start the recipe D&B | TRG | Trigger Monitoring Registration Process.
  3. Start the recipe D&B | PROC | Registration Process - Main Recipe.
  4. Review the master file output in the FileStorage path /D&B_Monitoring_Registration/Master_File/.
Note: New DUNS are compared against the master file before registration. Only delta records are sent to D&B.
  5. Check the Monitoring Registration Limit property in the lookup table.
Note: If the maximum limit is reached, new registrations are skipped until space is available.
To manage ad-hoc monitoring registration:
  1. Ensure the lookup property Automate Monitoring Registration is set to No.
  2. Prepare a CSV file with new DUNS numbers and name it Monitoring_Registered_DUNS_List1.csv.
  3. Upload the file to the FileStorage path /D&B_Monitoring_Registration/Adhoc_File/.
  4. Start the recipe D&B | PROC | Compare Ad-hoc File and Master File.
  5. Start the recipe D&B | PROC | Register Delta DUNS.

The recipe identifies new DUNS in the uploaded file that are not present in the master file and registers them with D&B.

After you run automated or ad-hoc registration:

  • The master file in FileStorage is updated with all registered DUNS.
  • Delta logic ensures DUNS are not registered multiple times.
  • If registration limits are reached, recipes stop processing new entries.
  • You can review registration status in the Monitoring Registration Statistics and Monitoring Logs lookup tables.
