Use Reltio Enrichment with D&B Data Blocks

Understand how enrichment operates across modes and how users and systems interact with the D&B connector after setup.

Overview of enrichment interaction modes

Once configured, Reltio Enrichment with D&B operates in multiple modes. These modes allow users or systems to enrich Organization profiles based on real-time events, scheduled jobs, change notifications, or direct user interaction.

Enrichment can occur in two general ways:

  • On-demand: A user initiates enrichment using buttons in the Reltio UI.
  • Automated: Reltio Integration Hub processes records based on configuration triggers such as events, filters, or schedules.

On-demand usage for business users

Reltio offers on-demand enrichment through buttons that appear in the profile side panel for the Organization entity type. In an RIH-based setup, you who run on-demand enrichment must have the ROLE_DNB_CONNECTOR role and the ROLE_USER_RIH_INVOKER role. Before running on-demand enrichment, be sure to complete the proxy and UI button configuration.

You can run on-demand actions to match records that do not yet have a DUNS number, enrich existing profiles, and retrieve hierarchy or principal contact details. This mode is useful when automated enrichment is not enabled or when users need to review and enrich individual profiles selectively.

For details on button behavior, available parameters, and customization, see Customize or add new Data Blocks.

Automated enrichment using background flows

System-driven enrichment occurs automatically using the configured Integration Hub recipes. These flows operate independently from the UI and are suitable for high-scale or scheduled operations.

The following modes support automated enrichment:

  • Real-time: Processes records on create, update, or unmerge events.
  • Batch: Runs on a schedule or via API, exporting and enriching filtered datasets.
  • Monitoring: Responds to change notifications from D&B for registered DUNS numbers.
  • Recertification: Replaces outdated D&B data by removing crosswalks and triggering re-enrichment.
