Data Quality (DQ) Score

Learn about a sub-attribute for evaluating the data quality of HCP License nested attributes.

There are instances when some of the nested attributes such as State License Number or State Code are missing in the HCP State License data that NPI supplies. Users may not want this data from the NPI data tenant to their customer tenant. To address this situation, a new sub-attribute DQ (Data Quality) Score is available in the HCP License nested attributes.

DQ Score is a sub-attribute for evaluating the data quality of HCP License nested attributes. Availability of nested attributes determines the DQ score of HCP license data.

A healthcare professional's license has total five nested attributes. These attributes are license number, state, status, issue date, and expiration date.

Table 1. HCP License Data Attributes

If information for a nested attribute is missing in the source file, the DQ Score of that attribute is 1.

If information for a nested attribute exist in the source file, the DQ Score of that attribute is 0.
