D&B and Company Hierarchies

D&B and Company hierarchy facets enable you to add, edit, and remove parent or child entities.

The Organization profile page includes D&B Hierarchy and Company Hierarchy facets. D&B and Company hierarchy facets include icons such as Show Graph and Scroll to Profile Entity.

These facets enable you to add, edit, and remove parent or child entities. These facets include icons such as Show Graph and Scroll to Profile Entity.

  • Show Graph: It allows you to view the graphical representation of the selected organization's hierarchy and relationships. It also provides different options of graphs that include Graph Type and Layout. You can select your desired option to view the graph.

  • Scroll to Profile Entity: It allows you to scroll a hierarchy facet to the current profile entity.

D&B Hierarchy

The D&B Hierarchy facet displays the organization's hierarchy as defined by D&B.

The D&B Hierarchy facet displays the organization's hierarchy as defined by D&B. The D&B connector manages the D&B hierarchy by updating the relationship type configuration/relationTypes/DnBHierarchy. This hierarchy is controlled by D&B and should not be modified. Changes to the hierarchy will be updated by the connector.

Company Hierarchy

The Company Hierarchy facet displays the organization's hierarchy defined by the customer.

It is useful to manage a hierarchy of your customers in a manner that is different from it's legal form. For example, managing a hierarchy of your customers the way you do business with them.

The Company Hierarchy facet displays the organization's hierarchy defined by the customer. This hierarchy can be used to display the company’s sales territories by geography, product line, etc. and can be modified as needed.

The URI of Company Hierarchy facet is configuration/graphTypes/InternalHierarchy.

The SFDC (Sales Force Dot Com) connector has been configured to link the SFDC account to the SFDC parent account as organizations in R360 by using the only relationship type that is configuration/relationTypes/Subsidiary, defined for the Internal Hierarchy graph type, which displays a label on the graph view of Company Subsidiary of.

Editing the Company Hierarchy

An organization's/company's hierarchy can be edited by setting its profile page in Editing mode.

To edit a Company Hierarchy:

  1. Search and select the desired organization's profile.

    By default, the organization's profile appears in Viewing mode.

  2. Set the organization's profile in Editing mode.

    All text fields including the facets are editable.

  3. Hover over the entities shown in the Company Hierarchy facet to display the Downward Arrow icon.
  4. Click the Downward Arrow icon and select Add Parent to add a parent entity, or select Add Child to add a child entity.

    If you select Add Child, the Select Child text field appears. If you select Add Parent, the Select Parent text field appears.

  5. In the text field, type the desired organization's name or select it from the suggested drop-down list.
  6. Click Save.
